Chatka Water – sustainable packaging concept

Fast moving consumer goods like water bottles present an urgent sustainability challenge – one that Chatka Water takes seriously. Chatka asked We Are Perspective to help them create sustainable solutions for their new 500ml packaging for the Asian market, embodying their unique premium brand and pure mineral water. The Chatka brand emerges from a sustainable conscience and ‘unreal purity’:  Kamchatka is a rich and unspoiled nature, a landscape of volcanoes and endless streams of healthy mineral water.

Message in a bottle - the focus was creating an exclusive Cradle to Cradle inspired packaging design that embodied the brand narrative. We mapped the economic and manufacturing feasibility of different sustainability concepts in relation to existing capabilities and then created a roadmap for further development towards an even more effective system. The final packaging concept considers the entire value chain, uncovering opportunities for local renewable material sourcing, geothermal energy for production, retail profit kickbacks to Kamchatka, volume reduction and recycling/composting strategies.
