" MARK ROBOT "

In October 2020, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital in Singapore introduced security and concierge robots to enhance safety measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. These robots were designed to scan visitors’ SafeEntry check-ins, record temperatures, detect non-compliance with mask-wearing and social distancing rules, and deny entry to those not adhering to safety protocols.

As robot developers, we recognize the significance of such implementations in healthcare settings. The deployment of these robots underscores the growing acceptance and reliance on robotic solutions to address public health challenges. It highlights the importance of developing robots that are not only functional but also capable of integrating seamlessly into environments where human health and safety are paramount.

This initiative reflects a broader trend towards automation and robotics in response to global health crises. It emphasizes the need for continued innovation in our field to create adaptable and intelligent systems that can support and enhance human efforts in maintaining public health and safety.
